Peru is facing a silent crisis. Hundreds of thousands of children and adolescents experience abuse, neglect, or emotional trauma. Many families simply don’t have access to psychological support or safe spaces to talk, heal, and grow.
CEDAPP has been working on the front lines since 1976. Their mission is simple and powerful: help families break cycles of violence and raise emotionally healthy children. They do this through free, accessible services led by trained psychologists, centered on empathy, listening, and play.
One of their most impactful initiatives is La Casita del Juego — “The Little House of Play.” It’s a warm, welcoming space where parents and children can reconnect, learn to communicate, and build healthier relationships without judgment. Over 8,500 children and caregivers have already benefited.
When a parent learns to listen, a child learns to trust. When a child learns to set boundaries, a family starts to heal. That is the kind of change we are helping create.
